I absolutely ✨loved✨ my time in Paris! It exceeded my expectations tbh, and felt even more magical than I expected it to be. However, if not planned correctly, A LOT of things can ruin the trip 😂

Here’s what you should know before visiting! ↴

🕐 WHEN TO GO: The less busy times of year to visit are April-June and Sept.-Nov

→ I went during Nov and it wasn’t busy at all!

🚇 PUBLIC TRANSPO: the system is very easy to navigate which was a plus

→ PRO TIP: DON’T lose your ticket once you’ve gotten on the metro. Sometimes they’ll do surprise checks and if you lost it, $60 fine 😭

🏨 LOCATION: As always, location is key! Stay in one of the arr. that’s close to most of the sights you want to visit

🗣️ LANGUAGE: a little french goes a long way!

→ the locals love when you at least attempt to speak the language + I felt confident with my French skills (high school + translate app) 😂

🥐 FOOD: don’t go to the touristy spots! venture off and try locals’ favorite restaurants. it’ll give you more of the Parisian experience

🖼️ MUSEUMS + SIGHTS: get tickets in ADVANCE! the non-ticket lines were crazy

→ PRO TIP: figure out what you actually want to do before you go! You don’t need to go to all the museums unless that’s your thang (I went to 2)

📲 TECHNOLOGY: download useful apps before your trip! make sure you have an esim + good navigation + a translate app on your phone
