Making the viral shaved fruit dessert

Frankie Gaw really opened the internet’s eyes to using a microplane / grater to make this delicious healthy dessert that’s loved all around the world and I finally made my own version of it!

I LOVED how easy it was to make homemade frozen flavored shaved ice. In case you didn’t know, a lot of cultures have their own version of this sweet treat (especially in Asia) and I love them all, especially if there’s some condensed milk on top!

It’s easy and refreshing although it’s just ever so slightly time consuming and will leave you with cold fingers 😂but it’s truly a great and healthy alternative to ice cream. Think of it like water ice or sorbet but less sweet and sugary. Afterall, it’s literally fruit but ✨elevated ✨aka frozen. Frankie used strawberries to make his but I figured that was a bit too small for my patience, so I went with something that was easier to hold. You can try this with basically any fruit!
