How to make Mung Bean Cake?
Ingredients:
- 200 grams mung bean flour
- 150 grams sugar
- 500 ml water
- 100 ml coconut milk
- A pinch of salt
- Cooking oil for greasing
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Mung Bean Flour:
- Rinse the mung beans and soak them overnight. Drain and grind them into a fine powder or purchase pre-ground mung bean flour.
2. Cook the Mixture:
- In a pot, combine mung bean flour, sugar, and salt. Gradually add water and coconut milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously, until the mixture thickens and starts to pull away from the sides of the pot.
3. Steam the Cake:
- Grease a cake mold with a little oil. Pour the thickened mixture into the mold.
- Steam over high heat for about 20-30 minutes until the cake is firm and cooked through.
4. Cool and Serve:
- Allow the cake to cool completely before removing it from the mold. Slice into desired shapes and serve.
