Samsung Portable SSD T7 (1TB) Review

I’m a digital hoarder who takes way too many photos and videos and almost never deletes anything. I did a ton of research into the best external storage options and I landed on Samsung’s Portable SSD T7 USB 3.2, 1TB, Gray. It is currently on sale for $89.99, but I paid full price around a year ago and it originally retailed for $109.99. It comes in a variety of size options (2TB, 1TB, 500GB) depending on your needs. I started with a 1TB and finally ran out of space this year and just repurchased it in a 2TB.

I have owned an external hard drive back in the day and solid state drives (SSD) are such a huge improvement in technology. There is no set up required so you can immediately start to transfer files over. It offers quick file transfer - I’ve done full transfers of EVERYTHING on my laptop and phone in only a couple hours. I’ve felt it heat up a little during some of these larger transfers, but nothing that seemed like cause for concern.

Beyond functionality, I love how sleek it looks. It’s as thin as my MacBook Air, is around the size of a credit card, and weighs a little over 2 ounces. This makes it great for traveling and easy storage.

Could not recommend this enough if you’re constantly running out of storage like I am!
