Halloween costume ideas + saving tips! 👻

Halloween costumes can get really expensive but I have so much fun dressing up, so I try my best to find cost efficient ways to do it every year!

As I look through costume ideas, here are the things I like to keep in mind:

👚Are any pieces of this costume already in my closet?

e.g., [Sam / Danny Phantom] I already owned a black crop top, the black skirt, green hair tie, and black boots!

♻️For pieces I need to buy, can I see myself reusing it in the future?

e.g., [Shego] I had to buy a sheer black long sleeve bodysuit which I’ve worn in normal life as a layering piece.

e.g., [WandaVision] I had to buy a red swimsuit so I made sure it was a style I would actually wear to the pool.

✂️ Are there parts of this costume I can cheaply make myself?

e.g., [WandaVision] I made the headpiece out of $1 red felt and free cardboard instead buying one online.

e.g., [Sam / Danny Phantom] I added green tape on top of a skirt I already had.

🏷 Are any pieces I need to buy inexpensive?

e.g., [Shego] I had to buy neon green socks and gloves which were under $5 on Amazon.
