Straight to the point: I married a US Citizen
BUT IT WASN'T AN EASY JOURNEY, I feel like this has to be known especially by those who are in the same path I had, the people who are wanting to move here to be with their significant other.
Ours took 1 year and a half for me to finally BOOK that flight, why? COVID.
USCIS had so much backlogs that a lot of fiancée visa applications were reviewed slower. This is understandable. The process was supposed to be only six months, ours took years, and some a couple of years more.
I received a letter stating my Manila case is ready around July or August of 2022, (we applied our case January 4, 2021), immediately I booked my medical and later on my US Embassy Interview.
I boarded the plane on Dec 23, 2022 going to LAX.
Fast forward to now, I am 7 months in and working with EAD card (and greencard on process)
Married, living a good and simple life with my husband, we are DINKS! Double Income No Kids (yet)
We plan everything so we won't have any problems in the future especially financial.
Before I used to say, the US is never my dream, it was somewhat unattainable, but here I am, still in shock and in awe that the universe made a way for me and this is exactly what I needed in my life! Thank heavens!
Maybe I can do part 2 covering the entire process if you guys want all the specifics or when I have my greencard on hand!
