DIY Backyard Oasis

When we bought our home 20 years ago, it came with this large obnoxious cow create pad.

It was handy for scooters, basketball, and all kinds of outdoor activities when our son was small. It was still ugly though.

We built this fireplace from a kit during the first covid summer and added the pergola (kit from Backyard Discovery) last fall.

I’m looking forward to our first summer with both.

We are trying to decide what to plant that will climb onto the pergola.

Any ideas? We’re in the PNW.
