I am a student in Y1, 19F and I have many part-time jobs. Though most of them are flexible, I try as much as I can to consistently work at every job.

1. Service Crew ($10)

📍Address: Sembawang

I started working at a new outlet near my house. It was convenient at first, but I grew to like working there as it felt like something straight out of Papa’s Freezeria 😂😂. I make drinks, and I actually really love the gelato. I sometimes buy the gelato as it is. small business and they can’t really afford to let employees bring home their products, so if I were to do this again, maybe I would work at a bigger chain nearer to my house (but it probably wouldn’t have as much flexibility). Although they give me lesser shifts due to lesser profit, one of my top jobs but also one of my lowest paying ones. Recommend working at a creamery!

2. Banquet Server/Ad-hoc jobs

(Banquet: $14-$15/h, Ad-hoc: $10-$15/h) depending on what job

📍Address: Mostly Central

At first I joined an agency, but my agent left and they apparently lost my details so I just left the agency 🤨. I see YY circle has alot of these jobs, but I haven’t gotten around to actually using that app. I mostly find these jobs through telegram, I worked at a F1 banquet ($16/h) just a week ago. However I only really work at these jobs as my last resort because it is tiring and draining and I cannot consistently work. Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: 3

3. Freelance admin ($12/h)

📍Address: Central/WFH

I work as a freelance admin at an educational centre. It’s fun and it’s like you’re doing side quests. One of the furthest jobs I work at. I also WFH at this job and clock my hours by telling my supervisor. As for work, I design simple posters, take care of claims and sometimes help out with the centre. I only received an increment recently, I didn’t really expect it. Overall this job I really like too, if I’m tired of being on my feet I will schedule shifts for this job.

4. HHN ($14/h)

📍Address: Universal Studios Singapore

My school sent out a mass email to students, a job poster for HHN this year. Of course, I applied. Some context, I worked at USS for a period of time, I wasn’t really sure about whether HR will let me work for HHN but they did. I picked the Park Ambassadors Department and for HHN members one of our primary roles was the turnstiles at the entrance of USS. Which is the first touchpoint for guests when they see USS 😀. So we were expected to attend a classroom training before we can actually work on-site, and probationary 4 day training with someone to guide you for these shifts. It was fun, and I understand why they made us go for the training. They also did makeup for us for HHN 👻, so that was really exciting. But also USS is veeeeeeeeery far from my house, so it takes a long time to travel which eats up my time 😞.

I applied to some popular restaurant outlets but they either never reached out to me/said they were not hiring/had probation that required me to put in alot of hours in a week, which I couldn’t commit to. All in all, these jobs are mostly flexible, but I work as much as I can so that doesn’t really matter to me. As for why I work, I will share that in another post! Hope this post was useful to those who are searching for flexible jobs.
