If you’re looking for somewhere to grab a comforting and hearty breakfast, misojyu is the place to go! 🍙 Who knew there could be a ton of variations from the seemingly simple - miso soup 😋

From regular miso to white miso and even soy milk miso soup as well as - every combination had you in for a delightful experience 🙌🏻 While the food was pretty decent and portions were huge, we had to queue for 1 hour on a weekend which was not exactly worth it 🥲

My friend and I each got a set which consist of a regular sized miso soup 🥣 (of choice), 1 onigiri 🍙 (flavour of your choice), 1 half boiled egg🥚, a side of pickles, grilled chicken 🍗 and cold tofu with french sea salt 😍

Unusual tofu miso soup set \ 1408 yen ~ $14

The miso soup had a really deep and rich flavour that we loved 🤗 while I quite enjoyed the umeboshi topping on top, my friend found it way too sour (it was really sour). I thought that it would complement the soup if it was given in a smaller portion!

My friend also got the grilled salmon onigiri to pair with the soup which was pretty normal 😌

Soy milk and thick scallop miso potage set \ 1518 yen ~ $15

My soup slightly thicker in its consistency and was extremely flavourful without being overly creamy either. Though the portion of the soup made it slightly too heavy for me to stomach towards the end 🥹 also because it had LOTS of toppings like fish roe (I LOVE THIS 🥰), radish/yam cubes, cabbage etc.

I got the French sea salt onigiri to pair with my soup. It was rather plain as the name suggests though it looked very pretty, I think its more of an accompanying dish to the soup than it is to be savoured on its own 🙂

The sides dishes - cold tofu, grilled chicken marinated half boiled egg were superb and we liked all of them very much 🥰

Overall, a really hearty breakfast to have and I would be back again if there wasn’t such as long queue especially with such affordable prices 🤗
