DAY TRIP ITINERARY for TAIPEI - SHIFEN - JIUFEN 🤭

this itinerary was quite fun to make and I personally quite enjoy this day 🥰 and I managed to check out a few places in taipei before heading over to jiufen/shifen which usually people allocate the entire day for 🙅🏻‍♀️ which I think won’t be necessary!

1️⃣ 大稻城 DaDaoCheng

please give this area a visit! totally loved the vibe and that zen-like hidden teahouse over there + we had a early lunch at the (not so) morning market too and we especially loved the 胡椒饼 there 🥹 there are other breakfast items such as mee sua/fish porridge/stinky tofu and a very famous strawberry mochi 🍡🍓that had long queues so be sure to try one for yourself!

2️⃣ Shifen 十分

this was our second time here so we didn’t really had anything more we wanted to see and skipped the Shifen Waterfalls (20mins walk away) 🫣 we only set off a Sky Lantern 🏮 tried a few dishes at one of the stalls very close to the stations which was not nice 🥲 (so eat at jiu fen instead)

3️⃣ 阴阳海 Yin Yang Sea

this one place that you have to go at Ruifang (otw to JiuFen) 😍 especially if the weather is good !! you’ll be able to see the clearest gold and blue separation in the sea 🤭 literally STUNNING 💯 we were so luckkyy 🥹

🚕 we managed to snag a really good deal with the taxi driver so don’t be afraid to haggle for prices !! it was so much more convenient to see yin yang sea and go to jiu fen after this way 🥰

4️⃣ 九份 JiuFen

honestly we didn’t eat any of the famous items as we were completely stuffed by then !! we just walked around and bought some souvenirs and took 📷 photos of the famous A-mei Teahouse (viewing point: staircase to skyline teahouse)

I would really like to make a recommendation to go to 芋仔番薯 !! because its such a cool tea house 😉🔍 so this is a sign for you to go to JiuFen yourselves find out why this teahouse is so interesting or check out my other video itinerary 🤭

5️⃣ 饶河夜市 Rao He Night Market

Lastly, THIS IS MY FAVOURITE NIGHT MARKET IN TAIPEI 🥰 the food selection here is so much better and tastes the best too !!
