authentic korean place with the best kimchi 🔥🇰🇷✈️

Gagahoho is a family-style korean restaurant, hidden in burlington square at bugis !! 🤭 super #worthit in terms of food quality, taste and price point ! food was really beyond my expectations 😱 and the fact that most of the poeple dining in the restaurant were koreans - you know you're in it for the REAL DEAL 🫣

before we move to the main dishes, the kimchi here was truly THE STAR of the meal !! the kimchi isn't the usual chopped up pieces that’s really sour - instead its serve as whole cabbage slices that's really spicy but really savoury and not overly sour 🥹 im so in love with their version of kimchi that we had 2 servings of their fresh kimchi - seriously the best thing ever !!

Their main selling dish is the Sokggoligomtang (Ox-tail Soup) \ $19

It comes with a bowl of rice and a piping hot bowl of the oxtail soup 🍲 the soup tastes really light and clean - with an option to add salt to your food for extra saltiness 😌 the boss also made sure to emphasize that there was NO MSG in his soup 🤗 its really comforting and savoury but don't expect a punch of flavours from this !

We also had the Buchimgae (Squid & Leek Pancake) \ $18

this was so good and savoury !! with generous chunks of squid pieces, this pancake was so well-fried and the ratio was perfect 👌🏻 pancake was not too thick/had too much batter 🤤 THIS is the definition of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside 💯 so so good 😮‍💨

overall ~ the food is really good and at a decent price point !! its not exhorbitant like most korean restaurants 🥰 and free-flow of that amazing homemade fresh kimchi?? I'm sold and down to come back anytime to dine here 😉
