Luxury Jungle Retreats in Uvita, Costa Rica

My fiancé and I stayed at both locations right after getting engaged. I can’t think of a more memorable place to stay after such an exciting event in our lives!

🚗 How to get there: A 4-wheel drive vehicle is needed to reach both accommodations or you can set-up transportation through the hotel.

📍Location No. 1: Oxygen Jungle Villas

📝What You Need to Know: This adult-only hotel is part of the IHG Mr. & Mrs. Smith Collection located up a steep hill in the jungle with beautiful views of the Whale’s Tail. Each of the hotel rooms are individual Balinese-style glass villas, but there is also a restaurant, bar, pool, and open air spa available for all guests. You can even schedule a massage down by the waterfall! The food and ambiance was perfect here. We loved the food so much that we ended up eating 3 meals here during a 1-night stay.

📍Location No. 2: Art Villas

📝What You Need to Know: These 3 villas were designed by 3 European and 1 local architect. The architecture is so unique and the Coco “seed cones” (where we stayed) feel like an upscale glamping experience. The villas also have 2 small pools (1 with a waterslide), a trampoline, and an open terrace where breakfast is served. Because the location is off the beaten path, we chose to eat dinner here which was delicious!
