SANYA Verdict?

Overall, it was such a great trip and I really enjoyed myself! If you are planning to visit Sanya, consider the points I shared in this post.

Moving on to some tips that I have:

🏨 Budget or not, look at some of the hotels in Sanya! Reason being, big chain hotels tend to be cheaper. For example, JW Marriott in Singapore is priced at SGD $454 for their cheapest 2 person room on Trip.com while JW Marriott in Sanya is only SGD $111 for their cheapest 2 person room on Trip.com! That’s almost 4 times cheaper!! So take my heed, and just at least check!

🎱 The 2 days we were in Sanya, we ate, shopped, visited the night markets, beaches and frankly, I think Sanya is more suited to be a place of relaxation than activities. Don’t get me wrong though, I absolutely enjoyed all that we did those 2 days. However, if you are looking for ‘activities’ then I would think island hopping/visiting the nearby islands for water sports would be the most ideal for you! Do note that the prices for that were not cheap though. Depending on their packages, it can range from SGD $50-$300. Booking would be done directly through them!

🍳Treat the weather at Sanya to be akin to Singapore but more humid +++! Wear loose and thin clothes and bring your portable fan with you if you’d like, I think it would probably save some lives haha! And put a ton of sunblock on! Even if it’s cloudy, you can still get a tan (learnt from exp…)

🦪 Always ask for the price of things before ordering! They might sometimes recommend something that’s not on the menu and charge you an exorbitant price for it. Better to be safe than sorry! But otherwise, they are usually really nice and the seafood is GOOD.
