the truth about building self-discipline

for the past 2 years i've been intentional about building discipline. i know its what i need if i ever want to get to where i wanna be in life. it's also an overall great skill to have.

i love watching vlogs about building discipline and establishing a routine, but i was recently reminded that the reality of becoming disciplined won't always be "aesthetic". its hard and sometimes ugly.

overcoming the feeling of wanting to give up, and fighting the urge to fall back into old habits is harder than it looks compared to a lot of the content we see. of course no one wants to show the hard parts but this is a reminder to anyone working on self-discipline that you're not alone.

you are not the only one who may be struggling with consistency. discipline is about doing the things you don't want to do, but know you need to do. and that takes effort.

keep going no matter what, and don't give up.
