Making Extra 🤑$ on Ebay

I think everyone can agree that one time or another we’ve found the perfect piece at a thrift store, only for it to sit in the closet for months 🤨🤭 So why not get rid of a few of those pieces to make a few extra dollars to help with your next thrift outing?

🤑 The past few weeks I’ve made over $100 by investing my time in digging out old bags of clothes, and scrounging through my closet searching for pieces I literally never wear.

I wanted to share a few tips I’ve learned after watching endless youtube videos and testing the waters myself. 🍀

1️⃣. Photos are EVERYTHING 📸

- I originally used the Ebay photo editing tool to remove the background in my image, and heard a lot of experienced sellers recommend NOT to have a white background. Most listings have a white background, and “supposedly” is more effective to have a natural background to see the items details and scale. I haven’t seen any results yet on this one.

-Multiple angles and close up photos are key! I also have heard that taking photos of the measurements of clothing is helpful too.

-(My favorite) Accessorizing your pieces! 💎 A simple necklace or bag helps spice up whatever article of clothing you’re selling.

2️⃣. Listing Details 📝

-Utilize every character available (80) for your title.

This is a general (SEO) search engine optimization rule- where you ideally want to have the most popular keywords a customer would type in the search bar to see your item pop up on the list.

I’ve found the trendier, more targeted you can get with your keywords - the more likely your item is to sell.

Of course, brands are a huge factor.

I sold a Levi’s Sherpa Trucker Jacket within a day of having it listed. Sometimes certain items will sell right off the bat because it has that special buyer.

-Offer free shipping! 📦But build your cost of shipping into your price. Buyers love to see free shipping - and I’ve found those listings sell more so than when I had buyers pay for their own shipping.
