NMAAHC, Best DC Museums

The National Museum of African American History & Culture is one of my favorite museums in DC! I LOVE black history, the greatness of our people, we have so much strength, beauty, power & straight up SWAG that is UNMATCHED (& most of ‘them’ still can’t stand us for it!) I love everyone!🫶🏽 We just built different & it’s undeniable.

🤎Of course I’ll be sharing a few more pics from the museum in future posts. So many people have been here but if you haven’t I highly recommend going!

People kept telling me it’s impossible to do the museum in 1 day but I did. It depends on how much time & energy you have. It’s a lot to experience & take in.

I love that it brings visitors through time from slavery until now.

🤎My favorite part is the entertainment culture & the spiritual journey bc faith plays such a huge roll in our community, it’s always been the backbone of who we are as a people.

Remember that so many people paid a price & paved the way for us to have the freedom & be where we are today. We’re making tremendous strides but we still have a lot further to go!
