- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1 cup brown sugar, packed

- 2 large eggs

- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- 3 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (about 6-8 cookies)

- 1 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

#### Instructions:

1. **Preheat the Oven**: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. **Mix Wet Ingredients**: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.

3. **Combine Dry Ingredients**: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

4. **Combine Mixtures**: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

5. **Add Cookies and Chips**: Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies and white chocolate chips (if using).

6. **Scoop the Dough**: Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

7. **Bake**: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked, but they will continue to cook as they cool.

8. **Cool**: Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
