Is it time for a Deck Cleansing?

Tarot and Oracle Decks are powerful tools in a witch’s hands. I turn to mine quite often for advice, direction, clarity, meditation and spell work. Just like any other tool, cards require care and upkeep to be at their magickal best. So how do we know when our deck needs a good cleanse?

Here are a few signs:

•It’s taking longer than usual to pull a card or for a card to come out

•You feel a sense of distance or disconnection when working with your deck

•Your readings consistently don’t make sense

•You’ve energetically cleansed yourself and your space but your cards just don’t seem to be speaking to you

•You find yourself not wanting to read your cards in situations when you would typically trust their guidance

There are many ways to cleanse your deck. My favorite is herbal smoke + loud music. I like to sing over my deck as I shuffle to imbue my cards with my energy and connect with them once again.
