LETS TALK AREA RUGS! Do’s & Dont’s! ✨

There are so many different styles, patterns, textures, & colors of area rugs that can transform the look of your space.

I thought I’d show you how different my space has looked in the last few years just by changing up my area rug. Which is your favorite?

The first and last photo is my current living room rug & I absolutely love it! I think it’s here to stay.

I thought I’d share some tips with you on what to look for in an area rug & some things to avoid:

Do:

•Choose a rug that extends past your couch a little on the side and/or that all the fronts of your furniture can sit on it.

•do choose your area rug materials wisely. Choose soft, non shedding material in a high traffic area.

Don’t:

•be too matchy matchy. For instance, the gray rug with my gray couch was a little too matchy & lacked very much depth.

•choose too small of an area rug. This will make the room instantly feel smaller than it really is.
