SHELF STYLING made EASY!

Do you have a bookshelf you’re struggling to style?! You’re going to want to keep reading!

There are some key parts to decorating a bookshelf.

First, you’re going to want to choose, what I like to call, your “grounding pieces”. For this shelf, that is the large basket on the lowest shelf filled with blankets, my stack of books, and my wooden riser. These are all items that are acting as a foundation piece to other smaller items that are being set inside or on top of.

Next, I add the items that will be going inside the basket and on top of the other grounding pieces. For this styling, I add throw blankets into the basket, a little gray vase on top of the books, & a candle & wick trimmer onto the wooden riser.

Next, add in the decorative pieces you’ve collected. Some great pieces are florals/succulents, some small art pieces, & a few decorative objects.

I make sure to not over clutter the shelves, as you want your styling to look curated & not cluttered! It’s a lot of trial and error of moving things around until it looks and feels right to you!!

Some things to keep in mind the next time you are shelf styling is that it’s aesthetically pleasing to the eye if you decorate in groups of 3s and it’s best to use various heights and textures.
