Driving test coming up ? Or are you scrolling for last minute tips/ advice ? Don’t WORRY you got this ! I FINALLY passed after my 3rd attempt, and it’s ok even if you fail just remember to just try your best and drive safely during the test❗️

I will share with you my mistakes and tips that finally helped me to pass on my 3rd try 😎 🙏🏻

My Mistakes 💀:

1) 1st Driving Test

• Warm up was smooth, but during the test I failed within 5mins as I mounted a kerb 💀

🚨Mistake: [Directional Change Course] Going out of the lot (left side of the car was too close to kerb -> moving out of the lot -> rear tire mounted the kerb (Immediate Failure)

✅Correction: Position the car centre of lot, and move out accordingly (REMEMBER TO CHECK)

2) 2nd Driving Test (Too complacent)

• It was 1 month after my 1st attempt, skills were rusty and I did not revise enough. Warm up was ok, but during the test i failed to form up in the correct lane before turning 🙃 [Immediate Failure]

🚨Mistake: [Slope Course] Slope was on the left, I was on the right lane -> Did not change to left lane -> Turned into slope course from right lane -> Immediate Failure

✅Correction: Remember to form up in the correct lane -> check directional arrows on the road -> Turn (Nice testers will prompt, but some might not)

📝My Tips (what i did differently on my 3rd attempt):

1) 📖 REVISE BTT, CDC’s map & Demerit Points System

• Familiarise yourself with bus lane timings, road markings, signs, speed limits, stop lines in circuit, diff type of road lines (which can cross & not to cross)

2) ⛺️Camp for slots - book at least 1-2 lessons few days prior to your test ! (I was lucky to book 2 lessons 3 days before my test - literally checked the app every 30mins for slots)

3) 📱Watch the “ Singapore Driving Test CDC” video on youtube ! ( The 🐐) - visual guide on the correct way to manoeuvre circuit courses 🤩

4) 🛏️ Sleep early !

5) 🗣️ASK - during warm up, ask any last burning questions before the test ! (Don’t worry about sounding stupid, as passing the test should be the priority)

6) 👀 Check your blindspots & mirrors ! (Moving off, turning, parking, reversing)

7) 🍀 Bring lucky charm (OPTIONAL) - being superstitious I brought 6 lucky charms in my bag 💀🤣, because my 2nd test i only brought 2 and i failed so this time I just brought the whole arsenal and I really passed LOLOL

All in all, I was glad that I failed my previous attempts because the past experiences had shaped me to become a safer & more proficient driver ! So do not be discouraged even if you did not pass your first try !

It’s ok if you fail, just try again and never give up ! Safety should always be the priority when you drive ❗️
