Hello there Lemon8’ers🍋💕🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Well, let’s start with saying…

I have no clue what it is I am even doing here if I am being honest. I actually found this app by pure accident and when I realized how popular it’s becoming, I said, “heck, why not?” So I made a couple of other posts and I realized I should have done it a little differently than I did introducing myself. So here we are…

But isn’t that the beauty of growth?!? That’s what I have loved about my 30s most- growth 👏🏼 Constantly learning, trying new things, developing new skills and failing. Society puts so much pressure on all of us to be perfectionists and I’m just glad I’m able to even put my pants on some days. Anyone else?

Honestly, my 30s have been magical. My 20s I effortlessly screwed up and the fact I even made into this decade is a miracle. So getting to fail daily is something I strive for. So what have I learned in my 30s…

🍋It’s okay to not have everything figured out and to find your passions late in life. I mean the colonel of KFC didn’t hit big until his 60s so being able to fail epically until finding what I’m passionate about most in my 30s is actually a good thing. I mean if I really want to serve, I need to serve the right people that I can connect with and build community with, right?

🍋My peace is by far more important than someone else’s comfort. Setting boundaries is the biggest for discipline for us all. Having to say no to things is actually healthy and if it doesn’t help us dream, level us up, and make an impact, than it’s simply not worth being apart of.

🍋Dream BIG! There are so many opportunities available to us all and there is more than enough room at the top for everyone. There is enough spots for everyone to live an abundant life.

🍋Connection… now more than ever, we need each other and we need healthy relationships. So many evil things happening in this world and we need to support one another, love one another and serve one another now more than ever. We’re all sometimes just trying to survive and for those of us thriving, we need to encourage one another that they can too.

🍋Spending more time reading spiritual development (for me, that is growing closer with God), developing new skills, and pouring into ourselves.

🍋Create memories- freedom just isn’t about what’s happening inside of us. It’s about the ability to dream, travel, and see what’s available to us in the world but more importantly it’s about spending time with the people we truly love. In my 20s I was a lost and broken soul in a meth addiction. Those memories aren’t filled with much family and the only friendships I had weren’t friends at all. Full of pain, trauma, and tears. In my 30s I’ve been making sure to make up for it and filled with so much gratitude that I even can.

🍋Letting go of control- this one has been the hardest for me and many others I know. We want what we want right now and sometimes it’s hard allowing God to carry us through so we try to make things happen when they’re not supposed to and when we’re mentally not even ready even for it. Instant gratification just causes pain, anxiety, depression, shame, and guilt. But when we trust that God is working things out for our own good, it’s way better than we could have ever imagined.

I won’t say I have it all figured out, but these past six years, I’ve learned more about life than I have all 38 I have been alive. I am so excited for the future and I cannot wait to see what is in store for it and the connections being made on this app🤍

PS‼️ I learned that it’s important to save and comment on this app more than anything so if you could help a girl out, I’ll comment on 2 for your 1 and save them as well 🙌🏻 besides I love connecting and creating community 💋
