OK, here’s a piece of content that’s a bit different from my usual. I’ve microbladed twice in my life - once around 6 years ago and second time around 3 years ago? Can’t remember.
The first microblading was great but the second time wasn’t so good - I felt like the dye didn’t seep in as well and started to look redder after a while. I ignored this for a long time until recently I saw my friend do their brows at Beaudery and I saw they had a trial session for brow removal at $88.
I decided to go in and try it out and maybe after removing my red brows I can get fresh microblading again! 🤣
What do they use:
⚡️ Pico Laser: I’ve had pico lasering done on my face before for toning and it hurt. I don’t think my pain tolerance is so good on my face but I remember it to be little small rubber bands snapping on your face. Anyways i forgot how painful it was until I was reminded of it on my brows! 😮💨 Even my friend who owns an aesthetician clinic says pico laser hurts more than other lasers.
The Whole Process @ Beaudery:
1. Numbing cream
2. Wait 20-30 mins for cream to set in
3. Add on brow cream to protect the hairs and start lasering off
4. Another go at the brows if there’s still a bit of colour left
5. Cold compress on the brows
😮💨 Pain level (for me): 7.5/10
It hurt like a bitch lol ngl and it made me reconsider getting microbladed again and made me realize I probably will never get a tattoo. It’s kinda like an introduction to getting a tattoo removed. Basically it’s rubber band snapping but really fast all at once across your brows. I think I would’ve preferred if it was slow and steady but that’s not how it works. 🤣
✨ The results: 9/10
I’m actually really happy with it! Even though beauty is pain, the guy who lasered off my brows was very gentle and very professional throughout. I honestly think he felt so bad for me he gave me cold compress twice lmao… Also, he stopped cuz I couldn’t take the pain anymore but he was gonna try to remove more. He said I can come back for another session in a month’s time but said he probably won’t see me again. 😂
Firstly, the red colour is all gone. He said it’ll disperse the colour so actually now it looks brown and looks like I got a fresh pair of brows microbladed tbh, lol I kinda like that! If I were to go in again to remove a second time, I’ll probably look like before I had any microblading at all, so this is a good middle ground.
I think this is good if you have old brows with colours that just look odd now and want a refresh, worth it for the price!
📣 Disclaimers - He did mention a few things to note before doing this so sharing it here as well as it wasn’t mentioned to me before I made the appointment:
- sometimes if your brows are too dark, they’ll need to go deeper with the laser and that will hurt more but also could cause bleeding
- sometimes your brow hair may get fried off in the process
Ok what do you think? Would you do it / have you done it and if so, what was your experience like?
Not a sponsored post but thought I’d share this interesting experience!
