Day 8 of 75 Soft

I didn’t take a picture today bc I forgot, but I took this picture before I started this challenge.

This picture reminded me of how I felt before I began. I was so upset at how my profile angle looked, but today all I see is a woman who chose food to help her cope through life’s challenges.

I grew up being the girl who was different. I looked different, talked different and carried myself differently for the other black kids at school. They called me a white girl bc I didn’t act, look or talk like they did. I was also navigating the challenge of being adopted and my birth mother wanting a relationship with me.

This all and other things caused me to lean on food without realizing it.

Over the last 8 days, I’ve reflected on why I depended on food so much and why it made me feel so good. I over indulged bc I wanted that feel good feeling due to me always feeling bad.

I no longer live in that space. I am free. I now just have to break the habit. I find myself wanted to chew. So it’s time to fill in the space with good habits that give me the same feeling good has.

Such a great revelation.

I pray you all had an amazing day. Tomorrow I’m back in the gym. I got this. God gets all the glory!
