Outfits for Spring family photos

My name is Crystal. I'm a mom of three and a full-time photographer. Based in MN! Where are you from?

On to the good stuff!

One thing I'm always asked is ‘what should we wear?’.

Take our personal family photos as an example. You can mix prints, as long as they're cohesive and not too busy. We have three different patterns going on here in these photos. But none of them look overwhelming together.

The colors you select should be on the neutral end and flow together. I always recommend flowy dresses for moms as they add a soft feminine touch and allow flowy movement during prompts. Dads are easy, in my opinion. Pick one of your neutrals, get a button-down and some nice pants with dress boots/and you're done. Kids are simple and should be comfortable. Follow the same guidelines for them as you would for Mom and Dad and bam your done.
