Boys Bedroom Inspo

I love creating kids spaces, it’s the perfect opportunity to make some fun, bold design decisions that you might not normally incorporate into the other rooms in your home. All of my kids have different personalities and styles and I like to tailor their rooms to reflect that. For my sons room I wanted to create a space that he enjoys and feels grown up. He’s very independent and mature and didn’t want his room to feel like a kids space.

Adding an accent wall with this gingham wallpaper was done intentionally to create a focal point and draw your eye up and make the room feel larger.

Playing off the plaid patterns throughout I used different colored plaid accents like the duvet cover and rug to have it all feel cohesive but not match too much. Lots of warm, neutral tones to keep it inviting and a relaxing space.

Adding a storage bench for both extra seating and a place to keep his toys and books is a great way to combat the clutter in a small space.
