How To Make A Small Space Feel Larger

Living in a small home has its challenges, when you’re working with small spaces you have to get a little creative with making them work. All of our bedrooms have odd layouts and have taken some extra creativity to make them work.

There are a few tips and tricks to help make a space feel larger. Painting with light and bright colours especially when you lack natural light helps to keep the space feeling airy instead of dark & small.

Having a large mirror reflects the light in the room and gives the appearance of a bigger space. Hanging curtains high and wide is the best tip for tricking the eye and making ceilings appear taller while not blocking any of the light coming from the window.

Lastly, my rule for area rugs is to always go bigger rather than smaller. You want it to fit the space, and have all of the furniture fit on the rug.
