I HATE THE BOJ SUNSTICK…😤

Honest review of this highly raved sunstick!! Got A FEW of these from Olive Young because I wanted to start taking better care of my skin & reapply my sunblock every few hours. I thought that this would be a good choice because people claim that its ‘mattifying’ and ‘goes on nicely over makeup’ ……🤡

Why I hate it:

1. I have combination skin and though it doesn’t make me look super shiny, it doesn’t make me look matte WHICH IS FINE! But my biggest gripe is that it feels absolutely disgusting on my skin - like there’s an oily film on it :( I can’t help but feel like its going to clog my pores…

2. It also stripped my concealer and bronzer off (i don’t use foundation) when I applied it. I wouldn’t mind reapplying it over the sunblock but it feels so bad that i don’t want to layer anything over.

3. The second picture shows what it looks like on my skin when I applied it (I only put a thin layer on my whole face), and it just looks like im flaking everywhere (& its 10x more evident irl). Keep in mind that my skin is mostly OILY so idk what those ‘flakes’ are. My best guess is that its the sunblock and concealer I put on 4 hours ago.

4. Not a big problem but the last 2 pics shows the before & after pic of one application. Might not seem like a huge difference but one application used a lot more that i expected. Maybe the angle at which i took these pictures were bad because it doesnt show the mini crater i created lol. But if this was the only problem, i’d definitely repurchase this product.

This might not be everyone’s experience with the BOJ sunstick because we all have different skin types, but i definitely would not recommend it for people with combination skin (people with a shiny T-zone at the end of a long day). It would be nice to know how it works for others though, so so share your experiences in the comments!!
