** MESSAGE **

Redeem means to compensate for poor past performance or behaviors, faults bad aspects.

Sometimes we carry the weight of our past mistakes/sins, but God tells us that we are redeemed through Jesus.

When you have a relationship with your Heavenly Father, and repent of your past sins and truly want to walk in the ways of Jesus, the Bible says that God takes them away (He forgives and forgets) and replaces them with His grace.

He has called us by name and claims us as His. Knowing this should fill us with a sense of freedom and peace. Our identity is no longer tied to guilt, shame or darkness but to the love of a Redeemer who values us deeply.

** ACTION PLAN **

There are two plans for action tonight.

1. Reflect on “Redemption”. What may you need to confess to God that you’ve been holding onto that is weighing you down? What are you ready to repent for, lay down at the cross to be filled with God’s grace, that He is ready and willing to give you?

2. Pray for God’s children tonight. The hurricanes in Florida. The wildfires/volcano eruption in California, Wyoming, Iceland. Tonight is a night to pray for health, healing, shelter, peace and protection of God over those who are in those areas.

** PRAYER **

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Jesus. Thank You for loving us so much that You sent Jesus to take the greatest atonement for our sins. Father, I thank You that You have redeemed us. That You give Your grace and love to us even when we may not deserve it.

I find peace knowing that my past does not define me. I find peace knowing I am a new creation through and in Jesus. Help me to walk in the freedom and grace that You have given me through Your redemption.

Lord, today I also lift up to You those facing challenges due to natural disasters. I pray that you grant those in Florida - protection, comfort and strength. Be with the emergency responders and give wisdom to those managing relief efforts. Surround those who are hurting and fearful with Your peace.

I also ask for Your grace and protection over those in California, Ireland and Wyoming battling devastating wildfires/volcano eruptions. Shield the firefighters and all those on the front lines working to contain the fires.

For the families who have lost homes or are facing uncertainty, I pray for Your provision and comfort. In the midst of destruction, may they experience Your presence and find hope in You.

You are our Redeemer, the one who restores and brings peace. We trust You Father, to bring healing and restoration to these areas and to the hearts of those affected.

In Jesus mighty name, I pray.
