How to “lock” an App in 3️⃣ steps

(And why I lock my apps)

1. What is it?

This is a really easy security feature in Apple. If you have an #ipad 10th Gen or lower, you can also lock your apps in the same way but it will use Touch ID NOT Face ID. I’m showing my IPad Pro 11th Gen.

Also, at the moment not all Apps allow this; it depends on the App Developer.

2. Why I lock my apps

Not all apps have secure authentication. In my case, I have a few apps locked on my iPad but the most important one is my Google Sheets App. If you follow my page, you’ll observe that I keep very personal information like my debts, budget, networth, classes, etc on Google Sheets. Personally, I also prefer this added layer of security.

3. How to do it

- long press the app icon

- select Require Face ID or Require Touch ID (this depends on your iPad model)

- and confirm your selection
