BATAM FOOD GUIDE‼️

Collated a list of places I recommend if you’re planning to visit Batam!!

📍MoMoo Juice Bar & Coffee

✅ Buffalo wings - wings were nicely marinated and tender

✅ Oxtail soup (comes with rice) - oxtail was so tender and melts in your mouth

📍Itsumo Tart

✅ London fog (RHS) - earl grey taste is very prominent but not so much of the vanilla

✅ Noir 73.5% (LHS) - dark chocolate is incredibly rich, with an intense dark cocoa flavor that really stands out

The fillings were creamy and velvety, though I do wish the crust was a bit thinner. Will come back to Batam just for their tarts 🫶🏼

📍Chatime

Chatime is a popular bubble tea store in Batam. They have an EXTENSIVE MENU, ranging from fruity teas, lattes, smoothies, milk teas, etc.

✅ Chatime milk tea - just like any typical bubble tea but still really good 🥰 and the texture of their black pearls had the perfect amount of chew!

📍Gazoz

Very aesthetic cafe that specialises in Western cuisine

✅ Chicken parma - for the portion you’re getting it’s worth the money, and while the breading was a bit heavy for our liking, the seasoning was spot on

✅ Spaghetti al calamari con pomodoro - pasta was aldente and the pomodoro sauce was thick (not those watered kinds) and full of flavour

📍Love Seafood

Tried three dishes from here, but I highly recommend their tom yum steamed pomfret!

✅ Tom yum steamed pomfret - SO FRESH AND HUGE…this was lesser than $15 SGD 😍🤯

✅ Sambal kangkong - very spicy 🥵 and you honestly can’t go wrong with sambal kangkong!

✅ Sambal udang - prawns were quite small in size but they gave loads of it, and oh my it was spicy as well 🥵

Our total bill was under $30 SGD! If you’re planning to visit Batam, be sure to stop by LoveSeafood for affordable and fresh seafood. They have a few outlets in Batam too.

📍Fore Coffee

Didn’t know that there is a Fore Coffee outlet in SG (Bugis) and thought it was only available in Indonesia!

✅ Cafe latte - bold roast and not too sweet

There are many more restaurants and cafes I want to try, so I’ll definitely be back!
