Flapdoodle Coffee at Taman Desa Petaling, KL

Flapdoodle Coffee in Taman Desa Petaling, KL is a new cafe, opened early this month. The area mostly consist of ol' school chinese and mamak restaurants, the appearance of this cafe here sure does stand out. Currently in its Soft Launch stage, one can enjoy their food & drinks at 20% off the total bill. At the moment, they offer a selection of pastries, cakes (most of which are made in-house) and drinks.

What we had:

1) Bentong Ginger Tea, RM 7. Although a bit on the sweeter side, ginger was strong 👍👍. I could feel the burn with every sip. Loved it.

2) Lemon Croissant Cube, RM 13. A croissant cube that consisted of thin, buttery, crisp layers of croissant stacked on top one another into the shape of a cube. There was a creamy lemon cream filling in the middle that complimented the croissant. Was not used to it being served somewhat chilled but I was told that it was served this way to prevent the cream melting. It worked.

3) Dirty Houjicha, RM 16. Worth ordering. Compared to many other Houjicha lattes I've tried, this one here was lovely. Milky consistency with a good amount of houjicha, this drink was pleasant to sip. While pouring in the milk little by little, houjicha powder is mixed in bit by bit. This is to prevent unwanted lumps and ensure a smooth texture. It sire did make a difference. 😍
