Vegan Chocolate Fudge Cake Recipe😍⬇️
For the cake: (makes two 8-inch cakes)
1 1/2 cups (180 g) all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (50 g) cocoa powder
2 cups (400 g) sugar
1 cup (240 mL) vegetable oil
1/2 cup applesauce (120g)
1 cup (240 mL) vegan buttermilk (room temperature)
*DIY BUTTERMILK* : 1 cup of soy milk remove 1 tbsp of milk and add 1 tbsp of white vinegar wait 10 minutes for it to be used
1 teaspoon (5 g) salt
1 teaspoon (5 g) baking soda
1 teaspoon (5 g) baking powder
2 teaspoons (10 mL) vanilla extract
1 teaspoon (5 mL) white vinegar
120 mL (1/2 cup) hot coffee
1. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.
2. Mix all the Wet Ingredients and whisk until smooth.
3.Incorporate Vinegar and Coffee:
4.Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Slowly add the dry ingredients mixture into the wet ingredients mixture. Fold in gently with a spatula until just combined.
5.Pour the batter into two greased and floured 8-inch cake pans, dividing evenly. Bake for 22 to 24 minutes in preheated oven at 350F , or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with slightly moist crumbs.
