new spin studio in Orchard - it was gr8 ✨

I’m relatively new to spin (done <10 classes) and I’ve been on the look out for great instructors for newbies. Having a fun themed class is a major bonus as I feel that it motivates me to work harder (probably cause I get distracted by singing internally to the music). I saw Elev8’s “Sabrina Carpenter x Olivia Rodrigo x Tate McRae” class and just HAD to join cause I’m a fan of all 3 singers! Plus, Elev8 just opened in June and I’d been wanting to try it for a while.

Class itself:

Michelle was such an amazing instructor - she had great energy and was so encouraging! She focuses on building your basics and making sure you can catch the beat before layering on choreo, and she explains her moves clearly before getting riders to follow. I really recommend trying out her classes because she made spin un-intimidating and I felt comfortable despite being relatively new. Plus she has great taste in music haha

Facilities:

Elev8 is a relatively small studio compared to other other players in the market. They have showers and provide hairdryers too. The public toilet is nearby, and it’s very clean and empty because the studio is on the top floor of the pretty empty mall. The studio does not provide towels so you’ll have to bring your own.

They do have lockers and a water dispenser, and plenty of seats for you to wait for class. Their equipment is all new and well kept too.

Would I recommend it?

Yes, because I’m biased towards good instructors. I’m okay with missing out on a larger studio space, and I think it’s more important to find a good instructor that you feel comfortable with!
