I used to live in a room with a grey theme, and didn’t realised how it was affecting my mental health.
🌚Grey paint+clutter+small space= worst negative vibes combi
💡So when I moved to this house, I did some research on how to make a space looks bigger than it is.
🔅 1. Use mirror to reflect light especially for narrow space
This is the most common tip that everyone somehow knows, but use it strategically! That’s because in Feng shui, what your mirror reflects will double its vibes. That means if your mirror is facing clutter, that messiness will x👯♀️

🔅 2. Knock down walls
HDB flats are getting smaller. I have never met someone who told me they regretted knocking down their walls. It opens up your space, allow light and wind to flow through and it is easy to enclose up a space with cabinets and partition later on if need be.
🔅3. Paint your room white or lighter colours
Bright surface reflects light, hence makes a room looks bigger. If you are worried your room will look boring, try painting just one wall another colour!
See image 4 above for a useful comparison chart on how painting different wall affects affects a room.
