EVERYDAY CARRY: CORPORATE BROS EDITION

Here’s a list of things of what I think are some must carries for bro’s corporate life.

1. Boundary Supply Rennen Tote X Pac

💰 Price: $160+

Don’t just get any old bag - get one that is purposefully designed to support your everyday carry needs. This tote is weatherproof and durable, with many pouches and slots to store the smaller things. It also has a dedicated laptop slot (up to 16in), and tons of external hooking spots for you to hook stuff or even do an external carry for bulkier things. Lastly, a false bottom helps keep the bag upright when placed on ground or table.

2. Boundary Supply key hook

💰 Price: $18

Does what it says - a dedicated hook for your keys if you still use these things (like my company)

3. Sekkisei UV Defense Essence Milk SPF 50+

💰 Price: $49 for 2 bottles

Sunscreen is extremely important - to help prevent sunburn and damage to your skin. This one from Sekkisei is lightweight and super waterproof so it can resist your sweat too.

Alternative brands: Anessa, Roundlab, Decorte Sun Shelter

4. Bose QC Ultra Noise Cancelling Headphones

💰 Price: $400+

Chose these over more popular competitors like AirPods & Sony because of the much improved sound quality, industry leading Noise Cancellation and the fact that it can fold for a more compact storage (looking at you XM5) It also now comes in 4 colours and the latest diamond edition looks super sick too

Alternatives: Sony XM4 or XM5, I really wouldn’t recommend the Sonos Ace (despite being a huge Sonos fan) as the sound quality just can’t match up with the Bose AND the mic is absolute dog💩

5. Water Bottle

Not pictured, but a bottle to keep ice cold drinks in the EDC when you’re out and about is a must. There is also a dedicated slot for your bottle in the Rennen Tote.

6. A Powerbank

There’s tons of places to charge your phone nowadays but it’s a JUST IN CASE kind of thing. I recommend getting one that has wireless charging and even a kickstand for that “iPad kid moment” when you need to eat and watch a show or something during lunch when you don’t feel like socialising with your colleagues cos you’re sick of em by the third day of working from office 💩💩

Brands: Anker, Aukey - and ALWAYS buy from Shopee Mall i.e official stores! Don’t buy off brands - you don’t want to be the next headline of a Powerbank catching fire on a plane.

7. Tissues

Need I say more? Keep wet ones around too. Having both is great

8. Packable Tote

YES! A tote in a tote. Why? You never know when you’re going to do impromptu shopping at a supermarket and this will come in super handy when you don’t feel like contributing 5 cents to FairPrice (or harm the turtles. Sorry turtles)

Brands: off brands are fine. Personally I have the Peak Design Packable Tote but if you need something big, Shupatto has a nice L size totes in tons of colors

9. Heroclip Carabiner Medium

Lastly, yes the trusty S hook. You’ll never know when a carabiner will come in handy - when you don’t feel like carrying the supermarket bag, maybe that’s when the carabiner can come in to hook your groceries to the tote. That sort of stuff. Or, when the toilet doesn’t have a place to hook your bag.

It’s also useful when you go overseas and need to hook your carry on with your luggage when moving from airports to cities.

Brands: off brands are fine, Heroclip also comes with a C shaped hook to hook off tables (last pic)
