Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus is a delightful novel that follows the story of Elizabeth Zott, a chemist who finds herself in a predicament after becoming a single mother. Her unique approach to cooking leads her to become a star on a cooking show, but not everyone is happy about it. The book is a mix of romance, humor, and social commentary that makes for an enjoyable read.

One of the things that I appreciated about the book was the portrayal of Elizabeth Zott as a strong, independent woman who defies the expectations of her time. Her dedication to her work and her willingness to stand up to her male colleagues is admirable. The romance between Elizabeth and Calvin Evans, a brilliant but socially awkward scientist, is also endearing.
