When I planned my trip to Iceland, it was to see the beautiful nature. I was so surprised to find out that an Iceland is a foodie’s paradise!! I thought I would find basic fish at most restaurants - but NO! They had some of the most unique bakeries, pizzerias, food halls, food stands, and other restaurants I’ve ever seen! They take their food very seriously there. Here were a few of my favorites:

BRAUD & Co - Reykjavik. This one is a MUST visit for a morning pastry! Their cinnamon roll was so different than anything I’ve ever had before - and it was incredible!! They had tons of other incredible pastries and breads too!

Hofnin - Reykjavik. An incredible seafood restaurant right by the Reykjavik harbor. The seafood here was amazing! I had the Langoustine Risotto and I would swim back to Iceland to have this meal again. The Lobster Bisque was also really good!

Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur - Reykjavik. Icelandic hotdogs are a delicacy. So unique and strangely good! There are hot dog stands all over - but this is the oldest one in Reykjavik! Great for a quick lunch (and super cheap!).

DEIG Workshop - Reykjavik. I love this place. Incredible donuts, bagels, and bagel sandwiches. You HAVE to get the Creme Brûlée donut. They carmalize the sugar on top right in front of you - it has a light crunchy top with a warm, soft, and cream filled center.

POSTHAUS Food Hall - Reykjavik. There are food halls all over Iceland - but this one was my favorite! The vibes were immaculate! This was refurbished from an old post office. Tons of fun food vendors with fun things to try!

Sushi Social - Reykjavik. Hands down best sushi in Iceland. Such unique rolls. Amazing. Gordon Ramsey has eaten here!

Black Crust Pizzeria - Vik. This is located right next to Reynisfjara Black Sand beach, which inspired the black crust! Their pizzas were SO unique and fun. The Langoustine pizza was my favorite!

Friðheimar- Reykolt. This restaurant was so unique - it is inside of a tomato greenhouse/farm. Iceland has to grow all of its produce inside green houses, so this was a really unique way to see what that looks like. The food was SO good, tomato soup, bloody mary’s, tomato ice cream, and tons of other amazing dishes with tomato’s.

I have so many more favorites from Iceland, but ran out of room!!! A trip to Iceland is a win-win all around - amazing scenery and amazing food!
