A weekend in NOLA / Top 5 things to do

In my opinion a weekend in NOLA is the perfect amount of time! Here are some of our favorites from the weekend!!

1. Wake up early and head to Cafe Du Monde for Beignets! Even if there is a line, it moves quickly and there are street performers to watch while you wait!

2. After beignets walk across the street to Jackson Square. Admittedly- there wasn’t much to do, but it’s a classic NOLA sight and was pretty to see!

3. Bourbon Street - perhaps New Orleans best kept secret… Le Bayou Restaurant! Le Bayou not only had the BEST bread pudding I have EVER had, but the staff was friendly and they had a perfect dining balcony with a great view of the city!

4. Go on a swamp tour! Most of the tours will pick you up from the hotel. Pack sunscreen and a hat though!

5. Get a drink at the Carousel Lounge located within Hotel Monteleone! It’s a cool bar! Get there a few mins before they open and be ready to run when the doors open. People are ruthless to get a seat! Hotel Monteleone is also a great place to stay!
