#1 CHRISTIAN PARENTING BOOK

I've been recommending this book to EVERYONE since the day I started reading it. Loving Our Kids On Purpose by Danny Silk has completely changed my way of thinking when it comes to parenting.

I've been a mom for 14 years, and honestly, I've just been winging it all these years (and feeling like a failure most days). Parenting is HARD. There should definitely be a manual they send you home from the hospital with. Unfortunately, it's taken me 14 years to find the manual I needed. Better late than never, right??

I love how this book shows us exactly how God parents us, which is the best example ever of how we should be parenting the wonderful little blessings in our lives.

One of my favorite takeaways is that so often we evaluate our parenting according to the behavior of our kids and the choices they make. ESPECIALLY in public. We feel like our parenting is being reflected in our kids. But WE CAN'T CONTROL OUR KIDS. We can only control ourselves. If we can only control ourselves, then the true evaluation of a parent is not how the child behaves - OR ELSE GOD WOULD NOT BE A PERFECT FATHER. And He is! The evaluation of a parent is in how the parent reacts! 🤯

There is so much wisdom in this book. It teaches parents how to train children to manage their freedoms and protect their important heart-connections.
