Nasi Kandar that you must try in Ipoh! 😍

How could you miss this ipoh gem when you take a trip down to Ipoh? Another must try when you visit Ipoh, Nasi Kandar from Kedai Yong Suan! It is famous for its ayam merah and is done by Indians, what i find unique is that it is in a Chinese stall! It has dine in and take away option, delivery is available too! They provide selections of meat and vege and you can just order there and pay at the cashier.

The ayam merah which I always order is a very well done, crispy and flavourful piece of chicken. Not just being fried to perfection on the outside, the meat itself was very juicy and tender! The vege on the side and salted egg is average but they go so well together as a whole! Obviously the main star here is the chicken and you should definitely try it!

Mutton lovers can get another option too, which is choosing the mutton curry instead of the chicken. Mutton was very well handled, gaminess was not pungent and it is very tender. They also serve their signature chilli paste which goes very well with the whole packet of rice.

A tip when i order, is to always ask for BANJIR so it makes the rice moist and goes extra well with the chicken! Get ready for a queue as it's always packed with people, but the food really worth the wait!
