A Noodle Story sells the first and only Singapore Style-Ramen since 2013 – it is also the one and only dish that they serve there.

The noodles are similar to the mee kia that we are familiar with - it is tossed in homemade sauce, giving the springy and al dente noodle a flavourful bite and the noodles are topped with HK-Style Wonton, Crispy Golden Ebi, Tender Cha-Su, Hot Spring Egg along with shredded red peppers and scallions.

The wonton was plump and the prawn was fresh and succulent. The char su was so tender that it melts in your mouth, but the Ebi was a little disappointing - it tasted more like prawn cake to me and it wasn’t crispy.

The Ebi was actually a replacement for the Crispy Idaho Potato-Wrapped Prawn which is currently out of stock due to supply issues – I hope that the Potato-Wrapped Prawn will be back soon as it was so good that I would usually add-on additional - Yes! All the ingredients are available for add on!

The noodles also comes with a small bowl of soup which was tasty, slightly sweet, with a mild herbal taste and tiny bits of shredded pork in it.

The noodle comes in 2 sizes – regular ($9.80) and Medium ($12.80). The price may seems expensive for a bowl of noodle at a hawker centre but the ingredients are of top-quality and I love how well-presented the bowl of Singapore Style Ramen is. There is only 100 bowls a day so do go early before the crowd comes in.
