🚨FORMER MAGA-SUPPORTER STATES “I WAS IN A CULT” 🚨

Cults of personality are REAL. It is not a “radical leftist idea” to acknowledge this. Here is a very lengthy list of points that indicate you are following a personality cult. Compare this to how MAGA has been behaving:

🚩The leader is the ultimate authority. You are not allowed to criticize your leader

🚩You’re only allowed to study your organization through approved sources. ☝🏾Anytime you debate a MAGA member they will attack every single source you have unless it stems from an extreme conservative source that does not criticize Donald Trump

🚩Cults view critical thinking as an infectious disease and every effort is made to suppress it. Members are encouraged to isolate themselves from outside influences and focus solely on the doctrine of the cult

🚩The group is paranoid about the outside world

🚩The group relies on shame cycles. For example, if you are among your group of Trump-loyal friends and acknowledge climate change is real, they will label you as “woke.”

🚩The leader is above the law. Trump and his immunity is his effort to be above the law

🚩Cults see themselves as the enlightened, chosen, and elect organization tasked with radically transforming individual lives and the entire world. MAGA members have stated Donald Trump is “anointed by God” or “the second coming of David.” Their slogan “Make America Great Again” is a radical agenda to transform America into their ideology.

🚩Tell you to stay away from friends and family with different views.

🚩Cult leaders have an inability to tolerate being wrong…like when Trump lost the election or was convicted of fraud

🚩For religious individuals: In a cult, a church’s faith will no longer be built on Christ, but on a personality. Rather than trusting in what Christ has said through his Word, people trust in whatever the personality says. This is VERY clear in the evangelical community led by televangelists, who are still denying the election, appointing Trump as a “savior” and completely disregarding the character of Jesus, who Trump in fact does not mirror at ALL.
