Turning Flour into Gold(en Pita Bread)

It’s been quite a journey this past year, of discovering self through new environments and new recipes. The more time I spend away from home, the more I find myself gravitating towards meals and flavors that taste like home.

Growing up, I was accustomed to having pita bread within arms reach and not thinking twice about ever running out. (My parents are ALWAYS stocked up on Mid Eastern goodies) Fast forward to present day, I live up in the mountains, where it’s been challenging accessing middle eastern markets. So? I decided to make my own pita bread.

What I first thought to be an impossible and daunting task has turned out to be a delightfully easy (and delicious) surprise! Good food isn’t hard to make; it just takes having the right ingredients on hand, a little time, and a whole lotta love.
