Why I recommend a weekend getaway

This past March I was getting really sick of my everyday routine, and felt stuck in a rut. Nothing seemed exciting in Miami, and I really felt like I needed to get away and reset for a weekend. After looking into various options close to Miami, I discovered the Bahamas was only a 25 minute flight away. This is somewhere I'd always dreamed of going and because it was an off season weekend, it was extremely affordable.

Immediately I felt a sense of excitement when I landed in the Bahamas. The change of scenery really helped me to get into a better, more positive mindset. There were so many activities and restaurants to try which kept me busy. Swimming with pigs has ALWAYS been on my bucket list, and it was amazing to finally be able to check that off.

In addition, going with my boyfriend was incredible for our relationship. Going away with a significant other really allows you to spend quality time together and connect on a deeper level being with them 24/7. We both left the Bahamas after 2 short days feeling refreshed and ready to take on our usual schedule back in Miami!

I definitely recommend a weekend get away, no matter how far, just as a way to reset, or even spend quality time with the people you love! Sometimes a quick change of scenery is all you need!
