I need hair advice! 💇🏻‍♀️

Help!

I have constantly fought with my natural hair over the years 😔

I resort to straightening it and using heat because if I don’t, I’m left with frizzy, unkept looking hair.

If I wash my hair and scrunch, I’m left with wavy (idk?) hair, but as it dries it poofs up and looks a mess.

I am not even sure where to start! I have been straightening my hair for 10 years now. I will say that the bottom half of my hair, especially at the back of my neck, is pretty curly when I let it dry naturally. But the rest just does not come out very well.

I would love to embrace my natural hair and stop using heat, but I don’t know where to start and how to keep my natural hair looking neat and maintained.

I currently use hair oil and heat protectant. I wash about twice a week, and typically I let my hair air dry.

If there are any girls out there with a similar hair type as mine, please please share your secrets!
