This is how I plan my trips…

When I first start planning a trip, there are a number of tools and apps that I use to help me find the best places. I’ve successfully planned trips to 75 countries (!!) so I know a thing or two at this point.

Here are some of my best tips:

- Google Maps: before I decide where I want to stay, I save any top-rated restaurants and sights I want to see to Google Maps. This gives me a better idea of where I want to stay based on transportation times.

- Pinterest: it is one big visual search engine and it is awesome of finding blogs related to your travel destination
