In Namibia you can visit the famous Etosha National Park , which allows you to self-drive safari.

Things to know:

- The best time for viewing animals is September and October, but we saw SO many animals in July.

- The daily cost is around $8 per car, and $2.75 per person (bring cash!!)

- The park is HUGE - it takes hours to drive from one side to the other

- Lodging books up early so find your hotel or campsite well in advance

- Make sure you know how to change a tire and always enter the park with ample gas
