My favorite campgrounds in the northeast

There are soo many amazing campgrounds to choose from, but here are a few of my favorites in upstate NY.

Slide Mountain: A beautiful wild camping area in the Catskills on Slide Mountain near Giant Ledge. It’s 2.75 miles each way and camp spots are first-come first-serve.

Siamese Ponds Wilderness: One of the largest wilderness areas in the Adirondacks. So many beautiful places to camp, but we stayed by the Sacandaga Lean-to, which is about a 4 mile hike each way. Camp spots are first-come-first-serve.

Limekiln Lake Campground: Located in Inlet, NY, this is a more proper campground that you can reserve online. $20/night for NY residents.

Cedar Lake: An epic backcountry waterfront campsite - swimming, sunsets, it has it all!
