PASTRY AT A PET SHOP?? 🙈🤯

Recently I tried some pastries from The Headless Baker and it rly satisfied the pastry cravings I had been having that week. The pastry shop is located at Star Vista, which is really near school!

The store was connected to a pet shop, but I didn’t manage to get pictures as they didn’t allow :[ They did have really cute hamsters and terrapins though! The store space is fairly small and you wouldn’t be able to dine in, so I got these items for takeaway. Here’s what I tried:

1. Ham & Cheese Croissant 🥐

A yummy savoury croissant, one of the better savoury croissants I’ve had! It had a slight spice to it (probably pepper?) which I wasn’t expecting HAHA but definitely made it more flavourful

2. Cherry & Pistachio Danish 🍒

I love pistachio gelato/ice cream, and was quite excited to try this! The cherries did not taste like the fake maraschino cherries, but were rly big and yummy. The inside of the danish was FULL of pistachio filling, which was really rich! I was impressed by this as even though all the pastries were cold (left them out for a while after taking away), you could still hear the crunch when you bit into the pastry. This was def rly filling too

3. Chocolate Cruffin 🍫

If you like chocolate, this is for you! The portion is really generous, and there’s a lot of chocolate inside. The chocolate is of quality too and it was really yummy

4. Custard Danish 🍮

This was one of my favssss bc I have a sweet tooth and I love custard! The custard filling is rly generous and wasn’t TOOOoo sweet either, was really very enjoyable

5. Canele 🥧

I think this is probably my favourite! The outside was really crunchy and inside was very soft, one of the better caneles I’ve had as well :)

Overall I do wish I heated most of these up before eating HAHA I’m sure it would have been a lot more yummy! But if you’re at Star Vista, do pop by to get some of their pastries or desserts! ☺️☺️
